Who is this series for?

This series is for anyone who is new to yoga, returning after time away, or simply wants to begin again with a strong foundation.

A regular yoga practice can help you feel more at home in your body — stronger, more mobile, and more at ease. Yoga also teaches us how to slow down and pay attention. Over time, this practice of mindfulness can extend beyond the practice room, giving us tools for managing stress and anxiety.

You do not need to be flexible, strong, or familiar with yoga to begin.

What to expect

Over five weeks, we’ll introduce the foundational yoga postures and the basic actions that appear again and again in practice. Classes build progressively, with plenty of time for questions and individual instruction. You’ll learn how to use props to adapt poses to your body, and receive hands-on guidance and adjustments when helpful and with your consent.

Class size is limited to 10 students, allowing for close attention and support throughout the series.

Students will also receive access to our digital library of pre-recorded classes, with a practice each week to reinforce what we cover in class and continue learning at home.

What comes next?

By the end of the series, you will have the familiarity and confidence to join Una’s general classes — or, you might decide to take the Beginner’s Series again!

We can help you determine the right next step and find a rhythm of practice that suits your life and goals.

Meet your Instructor

Devon Harris

Devon is the owner and founder of Una Yoga and has been teaching yoga for over 10 years. Her studies began with Ashtanga Vinyasa as a teenager and eventually led her to the Iyengar method, which she continues to study with devotion.

Her teaching is precise and compassionate, encouraging students to explore beyond what they think is possible while never losing sight of the contemplative thread that makes yoga uniquely transformative.

Devon founded Una to create a space for methodical, lineage-based yoga taught with care, curiosity, and respect for the depth of the practice.
